My Story
As a career led, ambitious women having worked in the a fast paced food manufacturing environment for over a decade, a competitive rower since my teens on top of many other pursuits such as marathon running, long distance triathlons, endurance bike rides to constantly look at how I can push my body to its limits. It was to my constant frustration that my body was gaining weight, as I got to my late 20's ​even dropping a pound or two was impossible and the weight creeped up. I would do as much exercise as possible, missing social events or cutting short time with my family and friends to train.
My body was exhausted, I was burning the candle at both ends and no matter how much I tried, the scales would budge in the right direction.
I felt like I was missing out on life, I felt trapped in an endless weight loss cycle. I felt like it was my fault, that I was not disciplined enough, that I was not trying hard enough – until I had an 'aha' moment.
It wasn't until I was 32 when I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer that I had to slow things down. Although successfully removed I realised my body was not indestructible and it needed to be nourished and respected. I realised that until my body felt safe and nourished; I would not be able to gain control over my weight. I slowed things down, I stopped self-judgement in my life goals and started to connect to the here and now, I changed my expectations for myself and guess what things slowly started to change.
I was missing the key to weight loss AND maintenance and that is to support my mind and body and most importantly the connection both to give sustainable, intuitive habits.

I now train less, eat the food I enjoy and spend more time with the people I love; whilst seeing better results in the gym and no longer fighting the scales plus some added bonus's such as less digestive discomfort, better skin, energy and confidence.

The changes I made to my lifestyle are the core foundations that I now use when working with clients. Once we have identified the root cause of their weight loss challenges. It doesn't require calorie counting and extreme fitness regimes. Instead I empower my clients to nurture their mind and body. Creating habits to support negative mindsets such as self sabotaging beliefs and physical blocks within our body such as hormone imbalances and nutritional deficits; once we address the specifics for you, we can unleash your metabolic power.
